The advisory follows heavy showers on Wednesday that caused widespread waterlogging and traffic snarls, impacting routes leading to the airport.

In addition to weather-related concerns, IGI Airport is already functioning at reduced capacity due to the ongoing closure of runway RW 10/28 for upgradation work until September 15. This has led to the cancellation of 114 daily flights and adjustments to several others.
