Delhi: IFS Officer Jumps to Death in Chanakyapuri
An Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer died by suicide after jumping from a four-story building in New Delhi's Chanakyapuri area on Friday morning. The incident occurred around 6:20 am, as confirmed by Delhi Police.
Neighbors who witnessed the incident immediately alerted authorities, and a police team rushed to the spot. The officer was taken to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

According to officials, the officer lived with his mother on the first floor of the building, while his wife resides in Dehradun and is currently traveling to Delhi. No suicide note was found at the scene, and the police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
The authorities are speaking with family members and close associates to determine possible reasons behind the extreme step. The incident has shocked the diplomatic community, raising concerns about mental health and stress in high-pressure government roles.
