Delhi: Acid attack leaves married woman with severe burn injuries


New Delhi, March 3: In yet another crime incident against women in the national capital, a 26 year old married woman became a victim of acid attack in west Delhi's Nangloi area, on Sunday.

According to reports, the woman was going to a market when two bikers threw acid on her face and fled away.

According to police, the victim suffered 31% severe burn injuries on her face and neck, but is stable now.

Immediately after attack, she was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial hospital where doctors referred her to Safdarjung hospital, where she is currently recuperating.

The victim has suspected the role of her maternal uncle and his wife behind attack on her, in her police statement.

Meanwhile, Police has registered a case against them and has questioned them, in connection with the case.
