After Sushma's opposition, BJP no to merge with Sriramulu's party

BJP was keen on adding Sriramulu into the party but the party's decision faced opposition from senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj. Sushma Swaraj's main reason was that BSR Congress had links with leaders who were facing charges.
After much debate and discussion, the BJP on Monday said that it would not merge with BSR Congress. Sriramulu had openly said that he would join the BJP and it the party allowed, he would also contest the Lok Sabha polls from Bellary.
BJP on Saturday had announced its list for Lok Sabha candidates, in which Sriramulu name failed to appear.
