First Rain Of The Season Arrive In Noida; IMD Predicts More Rain Across Delhi-NCR

Following a few days of scorching and muggy weather conditions, some parts of Delhi-NCR, including Greater Noida and Noida, witnessed their first decent rainfall of the season on Friday. The rainfall, which came much needed amidst the soaring temperatures, was not uniform in various parts.

As per weather reports, there were moderate to heavy showers in a number of places in Noida, but many other neighbouring sectors saw no rainfall at all.

Greater Noida Welcomes the Season's First Rain

The residents of Greater Noida awoke to overcast weather conditions before it started raining in various parts of the city in the evening. It made the temperature fall and relieved them from the discomfort caused by humidity for the last few days.
A lot of people took to social media platforms to post their videos and photographs of the rains, saying it was the first good shower of the season.

Rainfall Remained Localised

Weather experts have stated that rain formation occurred in certain areas in Noida during the afternoon, but the rainfall was not extensive in nature.

Although there were moderate to heavy rains in certain areas, nearby areas experienced little or no rain at all. This type of rain occurs regularly in the pre-monsoon season when there are showers and not constant rains in a particular area.

IMD Signals More Pre-Monsoon Showers

IMD has also stated that there is a possibility of further pre-monsoon rains in the Delhi-NCR region.

As per weather predictions, it is likely to have intermittent rainfalls in the coming hours owing to moisture-rich winds prevailing in northern India.
The variable weather pattern will give a respite from heat as well as add humidity to some parts of the region.

Relief After Days of Humid Weather

The rains arrive after a number of days of warm and humid weather in the Delhi-NCR region, where people were looking forward to some variation in the weather.
While the rains might not have been experienced in all regions of the region, this was the start of the pre-monsoon weather activity.

The meteorologists will continue to keep an eye on the situation, which will see some rains scattered in the regions of Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad.
