AAP to form govt in Delhi, Kejriwal to be sworn in as CM

New Delhi, Dec 23: The people of Delhi have spoken and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal is all set to take the oath as the Delhi CM on December 26 at Jantar Mantar.

AAP leader Manish Sisodia in a formal announcement said that after taking the public's opinion into consideration, AAP is all set to form the government in Delhi.

Kejriwal said: "Since majority of the people are in favour of the AAP forming a government in Delhi, I shall be meeting the Lt Governor to stake claim."

Outgoing CM Sheila Dikshit however made a veiled attack on AAP saying that 'hope the party fulfills its unrealistic promises.' "I will make one thing clear, Congress is going to give conditional support to the AAP. We will not provide them unconditional support. It will be performance based," she said.

Kejriwal to take oath as Delhi CM on Dec 26

BJP CM candidate Harshvardhan said that AAP forming a government in Delhi is 'a gross betrayal by the party to the people who have decided about the government formation.' He said that AAP is compromising on the issue of corruption.

Delhi Congress Chief Arvinder Singh Lovely said: "We want AAP to implement its promises. We will back them as long as the policies are good."
