PSI Somnath Zende Suspended Over Rs 1.5 Cr Online Gaming Jackpot

Somnath Zende, a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI), recently achieved millionaire status by winning a sum of Rs 1.5 crore on the widely popular fantasy sports platform, Dream11. This development has stirred controversy and raised questions, especially since various Bollywood actors and sports figures have faced criticism for their endorsements and promotion of Dream11.

Zende had actively engaged in Dream11 contests over the past two to three months. His stroke of fortune arrived when he strategically assembled a Dream11 team for the Bangladesh vs. England cricket match, resulting in a victorious combination that transformed him into a millionaire.

After conducting a thorough investigation, senior officers from the Pimpri Chinchwad police commissionerate opted to suspend Zende from his role.
