Mango Prices In Mumbai: Here’s What You Will Pay For The Best Mango Varieties This Summer
The mango season is in full swing, with the fruit dominating the markets across the city. According to a Lokmat report, the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) in Vashi is currently receiving between 1,500 to 1,800 tonnes of mangoes every day. In addition, a significant amount is being supplied directly to consumers through the farmer-to-consumer scheme. This year, the mango industry is expected to generate a turnover of Rs 500 crore, with various types of mangoes available to consumers by the end of July.
Mumbai is the largest mango market in India, and it has shown its global influence. Last year, India exported mangoes worth Rs 416 crore, with more mangoes being sold in Mumbai than in the entire world. Although the mango season started later than usual this year, the supply has increased steadily since April 1. Mangoes are arriving in large quantities from the Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg districts. On average, 65,000 to 70,000 boxes are arriving daily from these regions, while the total supply from all over the country has reached 90,000 to 100,000 boxes daily.

Traders predict that around 1 lakh tonnes of mangoes will be sold throughout this season, with arrivals continuing in large numbers until Akshaya Tritiya.
According to Sanjay Pansare, Director of the Fruit Market, "Mumbai APMC is the largest mango market in the country, receiving mangoes from all over India. From February to the end of July, a variety of mangoes will be available for customers."
