CCTV Footage Reveals The Horrific Moment

Happe, a resident of Uchgaon village, was reportedly on his way home late at night when the incident took place. As he walked along the side of the road, a car travelling at high speed approached from behind and collided with him with tremendous force.

The impact was so severe that it flung Happe into the air, leaving him with critical injuries. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to assist and instead fled the scene immediately after the accident.

The exact date and time of the incident remain unclear, but the CCTV footage, which has now surfaced online, has provided crucial evidence for the authorities. The visuals are distressing and have sparked outrage among the local community and social media users alike.

Police Launch Manhunt For The Driver

Following the incident, a case was promptly registered at the Gandhinagar Police Station in Kolhapur. The police have launched an urgent investigation to track down the driver of the vehicle, who remains unidentified at this time. The authorities are using the CCTV footage to aid their efforts and are appealing to the public for any information that could help in apprehending the suspect.

Hit-And-Run Cases In Maharashtra

This incident is part of a worrying trend of hit-and-run cases in Maharashtra, where several such occurrences have been reported in recent months. The rise in these incidents has led to increasing calls for stricter enforcement of traffic laws and more severe penalties for those who commit such offences.

In a related incident, another hit-and-run case was reported in Mumbai's Goregaon area, where a 24-year-old man named Navin Vaishnaw lost his life. Vaishnaw was distributing milk early in the morning when a speeding Mahindra Scorpio, driven by a 17-year-old boy, collided with his two-wheeler. The impact was fatal, and the driver, who was on the wrong side of the road, attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended by the police.

The teenage driver sustained injuries in the crash and is currently under investigation. The police have also taken action against the SUV's owner and his son, as the driver was underage. Blood samples have been sent for testing to determine if alcohol was involved, and further inquiries are being made to ascertain if the accused had been partying before the accident.

These incidents highlight the urgent need for better road safety measures and more responsible driving behaviour to prevent further tragedies on Maharashtra's roads.
