Maharashtra Chief Minister Enhances Women's Financial Aid Scheme
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has launched the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Behna Yojana for women in the state starting from July 1. To ensure more women benefit from this scheme, CM Shinde has made significant changes.

On Tuesday, Chief Minister Shinde announced an increase in the age limit for the scheme. Initially, the age limit for the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Behna Yojana was set between 21 and 60 years. However, CM Shinde has now extended this limit to 65 years. This means women aged 21 to 65 can now avail of the benefits under this scheme.
During a discussion in the assembly, CM Shinde also mentioned another important change. The condition that excluded women whose families own government land has been removed. This adjustment aims to make the scheme more inclusive and accessible to a larger number of women across Maharashtra.
Chief Minister Shinde's decision to extend the age limit and remove restrictive conditions reflects his commitment to supporting women's welfare in the state. By increasing the age limit and removing certain conditions, the government hopes to reach a broader demographic of women who need financial assistance.
The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Behna Yojana is designed to provide financial aid to women, helping them improve their socio-economic status. The recent changes are expected to significantly increase the number of beneficiaries under this scheme.
CM Shinde's announcement is seen as a positive step towards empowering women in Maharashtra. By making these adjustments, the government aims to ensure that more women can benefit from the financial assistance provided by the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Behna Yojana.
The initiative is part of a broader effort by the Maharashtra government to support women's welfare and promote gender equality in the state. The changes announced by CM Shinde are expected to have a substantial impact on women's lives, providing them with much-needed financial support.
Overall, these modifications to the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Behna Yojana demonstrate the government's dedication to enhancing women's welfare and ensuring that more women can access financial assistance programs.
