After fire in Film City, case slapped against Comedian Kapil Sharma

The famous comedian, who has been brought to fame by his popular TV comedy show "Comedy Nights with Kapil" in Colors, has been accused of evading the service tax to the tune of Rs 65 lakh.
Sharma, according to the service tax officials in Mumbai, has registered himself with service tax department but did not pay it. One of the officials was quoted as saying, "He (Kapil Sharma) had collected service tax, but didn't pay to the department."

However, Sharma assured to pay service tax by demand draft soon, informed media reports. Meanwhile, service tax department asserted that they may freeze Sharma's bank accounts soon if the comedian fails to pay the tax.
A massive fire broke out at the set of "Comedy Nights with Kapil" on Wednesday. According to reports, the fire broke out at 8:15 am at the gate number 2 of the Film City and four fire engines, five tankers and an ambulance were rushed to the spot. However, the fire was brought under control and fortunately no casualties were reported. The fire engulfed set completely.
