Eknath Shinde's Second Visit To Mumbai Coastal Road Marks Major Development Steps

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been working hard for the state's development. Recently, he inspected the Mumbai Coastal Road (Dharmaveer Swarajya Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Seaside Road). This was his second visit in a week. Earlier, the northward part of the road from Marine Drive to Haji Ali was opened to motorists.

CM Eknath Shinde had inaugurated this part of the Coastal Road in the presence of both Deputy Chief Ministers. After opening the tunnel from Nariman Point to Haji Ali, travel time has reduced from 40-45 minutes to just 8 to 10 minutes.

Shinde Reviews Mumbai Coastal Road Work

During his visit, Shinde instructed officials to start the Bandra-Worli Sea Link connector from the coastal road. This will help complete one phase of the road. The aim is to connect the Coastal Road to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, and BMC will oversee this work.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated the northward carriageway from Marine Drive to Haji Ali. The new road promises to reduce travel time by 70% and fuel consumption by 34%. Shinde's directions stressed the importance of speeding up the remaining phases of the project.

When fully operational, the Mumbai Coastal Road will act as a vital link between Marine Drive and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. It will not only reduce travel time but also ease traffic on existing routes. Shinde's active involvement in the project highlights the state's commitment to improving urban infrastructure.

The new road section from Marine Drive to Haji Ali is expected to greatly benefit daily commuters and decongest the area.
