As Coldplay's music captivates thousands of fans, traffic authorities are making arrangements to ensure a smooth and safe event, according to a Knock Sense report. Official traffic protocols have been issued under Sections 115, 116, and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act to manage the expected chaos and keep the flow of traffic under control.
Traffic Restrictions For Coldplay Concert In Navi Mumbai
In order to manage the influx of concertgoers, Navi Mumbai Police have announced several key traffic restrictions. Here's what commuters need to know:
Heavy Vehicle Restrictions:
All heavy and goods-carrying vehicles will be prohibited from entering, travelling, or parking on roads within the jurisdiction of the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate.
These restrictions will be enforced from 2 PM to 12 AM on January 18, 19, and 21.
Exemptions:
Vehicles carrying essential goods, emergency services such as fire brigades and ambulances, and government vehicles are exempt from these restrictions.
Advice For Commuters:
The Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner has advised commuters to plan their travel routes well in advance.
Roads near Dr. D.Y. Patil Stadium should be avoided during the restricted hours to avoid any disruptions.
Emergency Arrangements:
Special measures have been put in place to ensure that essential and emergency services can move freely during the restricted period, so public safety remains a top priority.
