BJP-Led Mahayuti Will Form Govt In Maharashtra Again: MP CM Yadav

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed optimism about the outcomes of the recent assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. He stated that the Mahayuti government is expected to return to power in Maharashtra, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to secure victory in Jharkhand. Yadav attributed these favourable trends to the positive atmosphere created under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

Exit Poll Predictions

Exit polls have suggested a strong performance by the ruling Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra. The Republic TV-PMARQ exit poll forecasts that Mahayuti could win between 137 and 157 seats, while the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi might secure 126 to 147 seats. Other parties are expected to win between 2 and 8 seats. The majority mark in Maharashtra's assembly is set at 145 seats.

Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda also voiced confidence in Mahayuti's success, predicting a significant victory margin in Maharashtra. He noted that people have shown great enthusiasm and faith, which he believes will lead to BJP forming governments both in Jharkhand and Maharashtra. Devda also criticised Congress, suggesting they would realise their rejection post-results.

Jharkhand Election Insights

In Jharkhand, exit polls indicate a potential shift in power with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) possibly replacing the current JMM-led alliance. Chanakya Strategies predicts NDA winning 45-50 seats, while JMM-led alliance might get 35-38 seats. Other parties could secure between 3 and 5 seats.

The Matrize exit poll projects Mahayuti winning between 150 and 170 seats in Maharashtra, with Maha Vikas Aghadi getting around 110-130 seats. Meanwhile, Chanakya Strategies suggests Mahayuti could achieve between 152 and 150 seats, with MVA securing between 130 and 138 seats. 'Peoples Pulse' predicts a decisive victory for Mahayuti with an estimated range of 175-195 seats.

Political Dynamics

The political landscape in Maharashtra has been competitive, especially after splits within Shiv Sena and NCP. The Mahayuti alliance comprises BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP factions, whereas Maha Vikas Aghadi includes Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP). This election marks a significant contest between these coalitions.

In Jharkhand, elections were conducted over two phases for its 81 assembly seats. The BJP-led alliance includes All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), Janata Dal (United), and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). The JMM-led coalition features Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist).

The first phase of voting in Jharkhand took place on November 13 across 43 constituencies out of the total 81 assembly seats. Results for all constituencies will be announced on November 23 alongside those for Maharashtra Assembly elections and various bypolls nationwide.

Mohan Yadav emphasised that public opinion is crucial in democracy and currently favours BJP across India. He expressed satisfaction with the trust voters have shown towards BJP translating into votes, anticipating favourable results by November 23rd when official outcomes are declared.
