Twist in Mangalore mob attack case: Now girl claims youth harassed her

Mangalore, Aug 26: A day after it was reported that a Muslim youth was brutally thrashed and stripped by a mob in full public view in Mangalore for talking to a Hindu girl, the case took another turn on Wednesday.

According to reports, the girl, with whom the youth was talking, has alleged that he was harassing and misbehaving with her and the right-wing members rescued her.

While talking to media, the 21-year-old girl said that Shakir forcibly held her hand and pushed her into his car.

She has been working at EasyDay Supermarket in Attavar since last three months, where Shakir is also working.

Both exchanged numbers and Shakir used to regularly text her.

She also claimed that Shakir once offered to drop her home and there, he started touching her. Since then, he used to tell her that he will give her money.

Shakir also allegedly blackmailed her by saying that he has a video of her sitting in his car.

She also said that she told about the entire incident to her brother and approached police to warn him so that he does not trouble her anymore.

She also said that she fears for her life and urged for police protection.

On being asked that she asked for money from Shakir, as earlier it was reported, then she denied it saying that she never asked for money from him.
