Bomb scare at Mangalore Infosys premises

, Sept 26: A bomb scare spread panic at the Infosys campus here on Thursday. The building was evacuated as soon as a threat call came over the bomb. Police claimed that a female voice spoke over the phone. The call was traced and it reportedly came from house at Jail Road, Kodialbail. The number was in the name of Kotiprasad Alva.

Later, police found the call to be hoax.

Local police officers arrived at the spot and sniffer dogs were also deployed to trace the bomb, which was claimed to have been planted in the premises. A five-member bomb squad was also pressed into action.

A similar hoax call was received at Mangalore Infosys in November 2008.
