'Why is PM silent on black money'?, asks BSP chief Mayawati
Lucknow, July 1: Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on Sunday slammed the government for its failure to curb black money generation. She asked why Prime Minister Narendra Modi is silent on black money.

Speaking to media, Mayawati said,''Businessmen take the help of Indian banks to flourish their business & then flee after conning them to deposit their money outside. People in the country are wondering why is Narendra Modi govt so helpless when it comes to stopping them?'' Mayawati asked.
"People of the nation want to know why is the government, especially the Prime Minister, silent on black money? Is it because most of those people who deposit money abroad are those close to BJP, due to whom it has emerged as the wealthiest party of India in such short span of time?," asked Mayawati.
"People are recalling promises made by the Prime Minister, especially the one to bring back black money. That's why BJP has chucked development issue and come back to its original agenda of hatred, communal disharmony and divisive politics. That's why they pulled out of the alliance [with J&K People's Democratic Party] in J&K," alleged the prominent Opposition leader.
