Simple Aloo Tikki Recipe (Spiced Potato Patties) To Try At Home

Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized potatoes, boiled, peeled, and mashed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, for shallow frying
- For Serving
- Mint chutney
- Tamarind chutney
- Chopped onions
- Sev (fried gram flour vermicelli)

How To Prepare Aaloo Tikki
1. Boil, peel, and mash the potatoes in a large bowl. Finely chop the coriander leaves, green chilies, and grate the ginger and keep all the ingredients ready before you start making the Aloo Tikki.2. In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, breadcrumbs, chopped coriander leaves, green chilies, grated ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix everything well to form a smooth mixture.
-Divide the mixture into equal-sized portions and shape them into round patties.
-Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a little oil.
-Place the patties on the pan and cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides, flipping them occasionally to ensure even cooking.
-Remove the patties from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.3. Serve the Aloo Tikki hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, chopped onions, and sev. You can also serve it with yogurt or as a chaat by topping it with more chutneys, yogurt, and sev.
