WB: Students elections turn violent in Malda; none injured in firing

Kolkata, Jan 27: The students elections turned unruly on Monday in Malda district of West Bengal following clashes between students and police, TV reports said.

The clashes broke out between the Trinamool Congress students wing and police during student union elections.

Reports further said that the TMC supporters allegedly opened fire and Police also allegedly fired in the air to disperse crowed in college.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far.
