BSP leader's spouse in soup after being caught with woman in hotel room

Kanpur, Aug 24: The husband of a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader was on Saturday arrested after he was allegedly found in a hotel room with a woman acquaintance, whose spouse landed at the spot with a police team in tow.

According to Kanpur SSP K Emanuel, Suresh Patel, the husband of Sudha Patel, a BSP Zilla Panchayat member in Fatehpur district, has been taken into custody after a case was booked in the matter under Sections 498, 506 and 151 of IPC.

Police said that soon after the woman acquaintance had entered the hotel room inside which Suresh Patel was present, her husband, who was suspicious about her fidelity, arrived there and created a ruckus, which ended with police taking Suresh Patel away.
