Sawai Madhopur (Rajasthan), Nov 19: BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Sawai Madhopur in poll-bound Rajasthan on Tuesday. Here are some of the highlights of his speech:
1. Pehle Matdan Phir Jalpan (vote even before you take the first drop of water), Modi said, urging the people of the state to vote for lotus, the BJP's electoral symbol and make Vasundhara Raje the chief minister of Rajasthan.
2. Modi said it is important to make the BJP victorious in the state so that it can be taken to greater heights.
3. To remove Rajasthan from the list of the BIMARU states, the Congress has to be removed, Modi said.
4. Wherever the BJP is in power, it has worked for development, Modi said, citing the example of the Shivraj Singh government in MP.
5. The Congress has lost faith of the people and the betrayers can not be given another chance to serve the people of Rajasthan, Modi said.
6. It is Pakistan's protocol to behead Indian soldiers whereas India's protocol is to give a warm welcome to their leaders, Modi said, taking a dig at the Congress-led government at the Centre.
7. Prices are skyrocketing, putting the people in trouble, Modi said, asking the Congress about its promise to reduce the prices within 100 days.
8. Modi slams Congress leaders for saying that meal is available in Mumbai for Rs 12, says they have no link with the ground.
9. The Congress has no faith in democracy, Modi said.
Rajasthan goes to the polls on December 1.
