Road accident kills 22 in Bangladesh   

Dhaka, Oct 20: At least 22 people were killed and 25 others injured on Monday when two passenger buses collided head-on in northwestern Bangladesh.

"Twenty two people died on the spot and nearly 25 others were injured, many of them critically," Deputy Commissioner Mashiur Rahman said.

He added that the accident took place on the Dhaka- Rajshahi Highway in Natore district when the two buses collided.

The injured are being treated at a nearby health facility.

Vehicular movement on the highway has been suspended following the accident, causing huge tailbacks on both sides of the road.
