Washington, Feb 16: Indian-American Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma will embark on a six-day official visit to India, Sri Lanka, and Maldives from February 18-23. This diplomatic mission aims to bolster bilateral ties with these nations and reaffirm America's unwavering commitment to fostering a free, open, secure, and prosperous region.

Strengthening Indo-Pacific Partnerships
Verma, currently holding the position of Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, will engage with key Indo-Pacific partners to enhance cooperation and reinforce the United States' enduring commitment to the region. His visit comes shortly after the two-year anniversary of the US Indo-Pacific Strategy, underscoring America's dedication to a prosperous and secure region.
