Ready To Work With India: China Ahead Of Doval-Wang Talks
Ahead of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval-China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi's meet, Beijing has expressed its willingness to work with India to implement key agreements reached by the two sides and restore bilateral relations, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
It has highlighted the importance of respecting each other's core interests, fostering mutual trust through dialogue, and resolving differences with sincerity, ANI reported.

Speaking to ANI, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said, China is ready to work with India to implement the important common understandings between the leaders of China and India, respect each other's core interests and major concerns, strengthen mutual trust through dialogue and communication, properly settle differences with sincerity and good faith, and bring bilateral relations back to the track of stable and healthy development as soon as possible
The development comes as India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi are set to hold the 23rd meeting of Special Representatives in Beijing on Wednesday. These high-level talks, the first since December 2019, aim to address the India-China border issues and explore solutions to ensure peace along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that discussions would focus on maintaining peace in border areas and finding a mutually acceptable resolution to the boundary dispute. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar recently informed Parliament that disengagement in Eastern Ladakh had been completed, with agreements achieved step-by-step, culminating in Depsang and Demchok. He reiterated that peace in border areas is essential for improving India-China relations.
In October, India and China reached an agreement on patrolling arrangements along the LAC, following a standoff that began in 2020 due to Chinese military actions. The prolonged tensions had significantly strained ties. During a meeting at the BRICS Summit in Russia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized to Chinese President Xi Jinping that peace along the border is vital for bilateral relations and mutual trust.
