PM Modi At Quad Summit Bats For Territorial Integrity: 'We Are Not Against Anybody'
At the Quad summit held in US President Joe Biden's hometown of Wilmington, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the importance of a "free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific," stating that it is a shared priority and commitment among the Quad countries.
Attended by Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, the meeting took place amid global tensions.

In his opening remarks, PM Modi highlighted the need for collective action based on shared democratic values during these challenging times.
He said, "We are not against anybody. All of us support rules-based international order, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and peaceful resolution of all disputes."
Modi reiterated that a prosperous Indo-Pacific remains a key focus for the Quad.
Reflecting on the positive strides made by the Quad, he noted their initiatives in critical areas such as health security, emerging technologies, climate change, and capacity building.
"Our message is clear - the Quad is here to stay, to assist, to partner, and to complement," he said, also offering to host the Quad Leaders' Summit in India in 2025.
The Prime Minister acknowledged Biden's leadership, particularly in initiating the first Quad summit.
"I express my heartfelt gratitude to you (Biden) for your firm commitment, leadership, and contribution towards the Quad," he remarked.
PM Modi, who arrived in the US for a three-day visit, described his bilateral talks with President Biden as "extremely fruitful."
