Pakistan Politician Hails Priyanka Gandhi For Carrying 'Palestine Bag' To Parliament
Amid coming under attack from the BJP over carrying a bag emblazoned with "Palestine" on it to Parliament on Monday, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi has now got an appreciation from a Pakistani politician for demonstrating "courage."
While slamming Pakistani politician for extending support to Palestine cause, Pakistani politician Fawad Chaudhry, in a post on X, wrote, "What else could we expect from a granddaughter of a towering freedom fighter like Jawaharlal Nehru? Priyanka Gandhi has stood tall amidst pigmies, such shame that to date, no Pakistani member of Parliament has demonstrated such courage."

Gandhi carried the bag on Monday to the Parliament in the ongoing Winter session.
BJP spokesman Sambit Patra slammed Gandhi saying, "For Gandhi family, appeasement is nothing new. From Nehru to Priyanka Gandhi, they have always carried bag of appeasement, never bag of patriotism. This baggage is the reason behind their defeats."

However, Priyanka hit out the criticism calling it "typical patriarchy". "Who is going to decide what clothes I wear now? Who is going to decide that? That's typical patriarchy that you decide what women wear also. I don't subscribe to that. I will wear what I want," NDTV quoted the Wayanad politician as saying outside the Parliament.

BJP IT department chief Amit Malviya called Priyanka a "bigger disaster than Rahul Gandhi" and called the Congress "the new Muslim League".
"She thinks sporting a bag in support of Palestine in Parliament is about fighting patriarchy. That is right. Crass communal virtue-signalling to Muslims is now cloaked as a stance against patriarchy. Make no mistake, Congress is the new Muslim League," Malviya wrote on X.
