Pakistan airstrikes: 13 terrorists killed in North Waziristan
Islamabad, May 20: At least 13 terrorists were killed on Wednesday in air strikes carried out by security forces in Pakistan's North Waziristan agency, media reported.
Pakistani force carried out air strikes in Dattakhel area of the agency near Afghan border, Thenews.com.pk reported citing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Wednesday's airstrikes are the latest in Operation Zarb-e-Azb, the Pakistan military's all-out offensive against terrorists.
A joint military offensive Operation Zarb-e-Azb was launched by the Pakistan Armed Forces against various militant groups, including the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Jundallah, al-Qaeda, the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM), the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) and the Haqqani network.

The operation was launched on June 15, 2014 in the wake of attack on Jinnah International Airport in Karachi on June 8. TTP and the IMU claimed responsibility of the attack.
