Pak Kashmir envoys allege India 'closed all doors' to dialogue
New York, Oct 12: Pakistan has told the UN that India has "closed all doors" to bilateral dialogue as Prime Minister's Kashmir envoys handed over a dossier to President of the General Assembly over "human rights violations" in Kashmir.
Senator Mushahid Hussain and Shezra Mansab Ali called on President of UN General Assembly Peter Thomson here and briefed him about the "grave threat to peace and security posed by the deteriorating human rights situation in Kashmir", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press released issued in Islamabad said today.

Hussain told Thomson about the "war hysteria stoked by India to distract world attention from its brutal action to suppress the legitimate demand of the Kashmiri people for self determination", it said.
He also claimed that India has "closed all doors to bilateral dialogue, scuttled a regional summit (SAARC) and at the international level, refused to implement (UN) Security Council resolutions".
All this posed an "imminent threat" to regional peace and security, the release said. It claimed that Thomson expressed concern at the situation and assured the visiting envoys that he would do "everything possible to foster peace" and that he would get an update on the current situation from the UN Department of Peace Keeping Operations.
