Manhattan attack: Terrorist is soldier of the Caliphate says ISIS
In its first official statement since the Manhattan terror attack, the Islamic State called the attacker as the "Soldier of the Caliphate."
Although the outfit did not indicate any connection or coordination with the attacker, Sayfullo Saipov, it did say that the attack was inspired by the Islamic State.
Earlier this week, Saipov mowed down civilians in Manhattan in which 8 persons were killed. Shortly after the attack, the police found a note in the truck which stated, " in the name of the ISIS."
There has been world wide condemnation for the attack and US President Donald Trump said that Saipov must be sentenced to death.
