36 civilians shot dead in Afghanistan: Official

IS killed around 36 civilians, including children, after they were taken hostage in Afghanistan.

Kabul, Oct 26: Militants linked to the Islamic State group killed at least 36 civilians in the central Afghan province of Ghor, the local government said today.

"Daesh (Islamic State group) killed around 36 civilians, including children, after they were taken hostage," Ghor Governor Nasir Khazeh told AFP.

There has so far been no official claim of responsibility from the group.
