PHDCCI Organises ‘Destination Madhya Pradesh Healthcare Conclave 2026’

Bhopal, 2 July 2026: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), under the aegis of its Madhya Pradesh State Chapter, in association with The SAGE Group and Apollo Sage Hospitals, successfully organised the "Destination Madhya Pradesh Healthcare Conclave 2026" today at Hotel Sayaji, Bhopal.

The conclave brought together eminent experts, policymakers, healthcare professionals, representatives from medical education, AYUSH, medical tourism, industry, investment, research and academia to deliberate on establishing Madhya Pradesh as a leading healthcare and medical value travel destination at the national and global levels.

Delivering the welcome address, Dr. Sanjeev Agrawal, Chair, Madhya Pradesh State Chapter, PHDCCI, and Chairman & Managing Director, The SAGE Group, stated that Madhya Pradesh has the potential to achieve new milestones in healthcare through quality medical education, modern healthcare infrastructure, research, innovation and strong public-private partnerships.

He emphasised that PHDCCI aims to facilitate effective collaboration between government, industry and the healthcare sector to create a distinct identity for the State in healthcare and medical tourism. He further highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a healthcare hub due to its excellent medical services, modern hospitals, skilled doctors, reputed educational institutions, improved connectivity, strong AYUSH and wellness traditions and favourable investment opportunities.

During the conclave, Dr. Udayan Vajpeyi shared his views on strengthening medical education and quality healthcare services, while Dr. Manisha Shrivastava, Director, Bhopal Memorial Hospital & Research Centre, highlighted the importance of patient-centric and high-quality healthcare delivery.

Mr. Ram Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, said that the State's natural, cultural and spiritual heritage, when integrated with healthcare services, can open new avenues for medical and wellness tourism.

A major highlight of the conclave was the high-level roundtable discussion on "New Roadmap for Positioning Madhya Pradesh as a Global Healthcare Destination", moderated by Mr. Atul K. Thakur, Senior Secretary, PHDCCI.

The discussion witnessed participation from all the speakers of the programme along with distinguished experts including Mr. Soram Prabbhakar, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Guinea; Dr. Reenu Yadav, Principal, Prestige Institute of Management; Mr. Manoj Kumar Jain, Senior Adviser, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis; Dr. Rajesh Saxena, Scientific Adviser, Patanjali Research Foundation; and Mr. Saumil Tiwari, Founder, Serve Life (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., who shared their valuable insights.

The deliberations focused on healthcare infrastructure development, promotion of medical tourism, investment attraction, digital health, integration of AYUSH with modern medicine, research and innovation, skill development and strengthening public-private partnerships. The experts unanimously emphasised that a coordinated strategy and active collaboration among all stakeholders are essential for positioning Madhya Pradesh as a globally competitive healthcare and wellness destination.

At the conclusion of the programme, Mr. Sumit Agarwal, Co-Chair, Madhya Pradesh State Chapter, PHDCCI, and CMD, Bio Nutrients (India) Pvt. Ltd., expressed gratitude to all distinguished guests, speakers, participants and supporting organisations.
