Egypt announces parliamentary elections in October
Cairo, Aug 31: Egypt has announced to conduct much-delayed parliamentary elections in October, media reported.
This will be first parliamentary elections since President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi ousted Mohammed Morsi, reported The Telegraph.

The two phase parliamentary elections will be on October 18, and the second starting November 22.
The elections were scheduled to be the first in the road map after a military coup in July 2013 that toppled the ex-president Morsi.
Earlier the election was to be held in last March which was postponed again after a court ruled that part of the election law was unconstitutional.
The forthcoming polls will be the third and final stage in an army-backed roadmap announced following the ouster of Mohammad Morsi in 2013.
