China: Elderly mom with Alzheimer’s goes to kids’ school to pick her adult daughter

Beijing, Jan 17: Apparently, it is something funny but actually this makes our heart heavy. An elderly woman suffering from Alzheimer's completely forgot that her once little daughter has grown up into a woman today and went to a kindergarten school to pick her up. The incident happened in the city of Nanjing in eastern China's Jiangsu province last week.

According to a report in China's Shanghaiist, the 84-year-old woman took a bus to the local kindergarten where she told the security guard that she had come to pick up a little girl named Bai. The guard went through the records but not finding any such name, went for help from the police. The cops then contacted with the elderly woman's daughter. The woman then arrived at the police station to pick her mother and when she asked her why did she go to the kindergarten, the latter said: "I came to find you."

That made us cry.
