Bake Off star makes Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday cake

London, Apr 22: Let her eat cake. Queen Elizabeth II received a royal 90th birthday cake Thursday from a baker who won millions of fans on Britain's most beloved baking competition.

Nadiya Hussain presented the monarch with a three-tiered orange drizzle cake with royal gold and purple icing at celebrations in Windsor, west of London.

The queen chatted with Hussain before cutting the cake, which required 42 eggs and was made up of 12 smaller cakes.

"She said 'Does it cut?'” so clearly she's had issues about cutting cake” hence, why I didn't do a fruit cake," Hussain said.

Hussain, 31, gained fame last year after winning the popular TV show "The Great British Bake Off" with a lemon-drizzle wedding cake wrapped in a sari in the red, white and blue of the Union Jack.
