Quake jolts Papua New Guinea; magnitude 6.7
Port Moresby (Papua New Guinea), Aug 31: An earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter Scale hit off Papua New Guinea on Wednesday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The quake occurred at 39 km east of Namatanai with a depth of 499 km, Xinhua news agency cited the USGS as showing.
