2 explosions hit Istanbul's Ataturk airport, 36 dead
Istanbul, June 29: Atleast 36 people were reported dead after two explosions rocked the International airport in Istanbul, Turkish media reported on early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, two suicide bombers are said to have blown themselves up. Latest reports suggest that gunshots could be heard from the area.
The Turkish Interior Ministry said that several people were injured in the attack. The injured were being taken in taxis to the nearest hospital.
Explosions occurred in international departures area of the Ataurk International airport. News reports say that one of attackers had Kalashnikov and opened fire before the blast.

Suspects detonated explosive before passing x-ray security check, a Turkish official said. The Turkish government has issued a ban to report on the airport bombing in Istanbul, latest news reports suggest.
All flights are suspended at Istanbul's Ataturk airport after suicide attack.
