Will sprinkle Ganga Jal in all UP govt offices when I become CM: Akhilesh Yadav

Earlier, the UP police suspended Himanshu Kumar, an Indian Police Service officer for indiscipline.

I will sprinkle Ganga Jal at all government offices when I become chief minister of Uttar Pradesh once again in 2022, said Akhilesh Yadav. The former UP CM was addressing a media gathering in Lucknow on Saturday.

The Ganga Jal would be sprinkled to purify the government offices Akhilesh also said. He further added that the same procedure would done at the CM's office as well.

He further asked why are policemen of only one particular caste being suspended. He was referring to the suspension of some police officers in the state after Yogi Adityanath took over as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, the UP police suspended Himanshu Kumar an IPS officer for indiscipline.

Akhilesh went on to add that he does not mind the shuddikaran or clean up of the Chief Minister's residence. I only hope that they look after the peacocks which had flown in there.Taking a dig at the officers who were part of the clean up act, Akhilesh said, "I never knew that officials cleaned up so well. If I had information, I would have got the same done".

Akhilesh said that Yogi is very far behind in terms of development work done by him. Yogi had said in Parliament that he was a year older to Akhilesh. He may be a year older, but is far behind in terms of development work, the former UP CM also said.
