Weather Forecast Today: Cold Weather And Rainfall Predicted
The weather across India is undergoing significant changes. Northern regions, including Delhi-NCR, are experiencing the onset of cold weather accompanied by fog. Meanwhile, some southern states are witnessing continued rainfall. The Meteorological Department forecasts dense fog in several states such as Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh on 18 November 2024. Additionally, heavy rain is anticipated in Tamil Nadu and Kerala within the next 24 hours.
In Delhi-NCR, temperatures are expected to drop further starting from 18 November. The Meteorological Department predicts that dense fog will persist until 20 November. Although severe cold conditions will begin tomorrow, no rain is expected during this period. The sky will remain clear, but pollution levels in Delhi are concerningly high, potentially leading to smog alongside the fog.

The minimum temperature in North-West India is predicted to decrease by two to three degrees Celsius over the next five days. Foggy conditions are likely to continue in North-West India, Bihar, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal for the next couple of days. Assam and Meghalaya may also experience dense fog within the next 24 hours.
Northern Regions Brace for Foggy Mornings
Punjab, Haryana, Western Rajasthan, and other areas are experiencing dense morning fog. Eastern India, including districts like Supaul in Bihar, is also seeing thick fog. A similar situation is observed in Uttar Pradesh's Terai regions during mornings.
The plains of northwest India are expected to see a reduction in minimum temperatures by two to three degrees Celsius over the next five days. Central India might not witness any significant temperature changes for three days but could see a drop of two to three degrees Celsius afterward.
Dense fog may persist tonight and tomorrow morning in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and northern Rajasthan. Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur region and nearby areas might also experience dense fog during this time.
Nationwide, dense to very dense fog could prevail in eastern Uttar Pradesh's Terai areas and Bihar. In northeastern India, Assam and Meghalaya might face similar conditions tonight and tomorrow morning.
