Wayanad Election 2024: Voting On November 13, Results On November 23
The parliamentary by-poll for the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, necessitated by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's decision to vacate the seat after also winning the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat on June 4 this year, has been scheduled by the Election Commission of India. The announcement, made on October 15, revealed that voting will take place on November 13, with the outcome to be disclosed on November 23. CEC Rajiv Kumar shared these details, marking a significant moment in the political landscape.

Following the parliamentary elections earlier this year, Rahul Gandhi, a prominent figure in the Congress party, secured victories in two constituencies. However, he chose to resign from the Wayanad seat, leading to the upcoming by-election. This decision has set the stage for another electoral contest in the region, which is keenly awaited by both political observers and the electorate. The Election Commission's timely announcement ensures that all preparations can be made for a smooth voting process and result declaration.
