Video-conference facility to be set up in Rajasthan courts
Udaipur, March 27: Evidence of medical officers would be recorded through video-conferencing facility which will be set up in courts as well as in jails, Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court S K Mittal said.
The facility will be made available in the state on the pattern of Punjab and Haryana so that speedy justice can be delivered, he told reporters here.
He said that this will also save time of doctors. Mittal, who was in the city today, also informed that 187 new judicial officers would soon join in various courts of the state.
The state chief justice also expressed concern over a social custom 'Mautana', monitory compensation for a death, prevailing in tribal areas of Udaipur Division, and said such customs should not be given space in the society.
