Veteran actress Rekha to be brand ambassador of Bihar tourism?

Patna, Jan 6: If all goes well, veteran actress Rekha will soon be seen promoting Bihar tourism.

The Bihar Government is planning to rope in Rekha as the brand ambassador of the State Tourism, says media reports.

Bihar Tourism Minister Javed Iqbal said the Government has given industry status to tourism in view of vast potential of this sector. "We have decided to select a personality as brand ambassador who is immensely popular and Rekha is on top of our agenda," he was quoted as saying in media reports.

The Tourism department feels that by projecting superstar Amitabh Bachchan for Gujarat and Shah Rukh Khan for West Bengal, the tourism sector of these two States has got a big push, so it is planning to rope in Rekha for promoting its tourism.

Iqbal said the State Government will seek Rekha's help to promote tourism in Bihar. He further said the State Government has not yet contacted her yet.
