Geeta Dhami Shares Emotional Tribute to Husband Pushkar Singh Dhami's Dedication to Uttarakhand

During an event, Geeta Dhami, the wife of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, became emotional while discussing her husband's dedication to the state. A video of her speech at the Uttarayan Kauthik Mahotsav on Sunday is gaining attention on social media. She highlighted the role of housewives, stating they manage family responsibilities, which is commendable.

Geeta Dhami emphasised that being a housewife is honourable, as they care for parents and children. She cited examples from mythology, mentioning Mata Kaushalya and Lord Rama. She noted that without Bishana Devi, Pushkar Singh Dhami's mother, the chief minister might not have achieved his current stature.

Chief Minister's Commitment to Uttarakhand

Geeta Dhami expressed that her husband has not taken a single day off for personal time. "Forget his family, he hasn't even taken a single day off for himself," she stated with emotion. She added that he considers the entire state as his family, dedicating himself fully to its service.

The chief minister has enacted significant laws like the strict anti-cheating law and the Uniform Civil Code. These initiatives have brought pride to both the state and the country. Additionally, he has facilitated government jobs for children from 26,000 families in Uttarakhand.

Witnessing Hard Work Firsthand

Geeta Dhami shared her perspective on her husband's efforts, saying, "I am not saying this just because I am his wife, but I have witnessed his hard work from the closest perspective." Her words reflect her admiration for his dedication and achievements.

Geeta Dhami is also known for founding the Seva Sankalp Foundation, which organised the festival where she spoke. The chief minister was present during her address, underscoring their shared commitment to public service.

The event highlighted both personal and professional aspects of Pushkar Singh Dhami's life. Geeta's heartfelt words offered insight into the sacrifices made by those in public service and their families.
