Uttarakhand: Bus Falls Into Gorge In Pauri, 5 Dead, 17 Injured; CM Dhami Expresses Grief
A bus accident in Uttarakhand's Pauri district resulted in five deaths and 17 injuries. The vehicle plunged into a gorge 100 metres deep near Dahalchori, Srinagar. The bus was carrying 22 passengers when the incident occurred. Rescue teams quickly transported the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Following the accident, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was informed by Pauri's District Control Room. A team was dispatched to the scene promptly. The SDRF reported that the bus was en route from Pauri to Dahachori when it crashed. Local residents and police assisted in rescuing 18 injured individuals, who were then taken to hospitals.

District Magistrate's Update
Pauri Garhwal District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan provided further details on the situation. "Five people have died in the bus accident," he stated. "Around 10 injured have been admitted to the Srinagar hospital for treatment...7 to 8 patients are admitted here in the Pauri district for treatment..."
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his sorrow over the tragic event. "Very sad news was received about the death of four passengers due to a bus accident on the way to Kendriya Vidyalaya in Pauri," he said. He offered prayers for those who lost their lives and wished strength for their families.
Relief Efforts Underway
The local administration is actively engaged in relief and rescue operations at the site of the accident. Injured passengers are receiving medical care at nearby hospitals. CM Dhami also prayed for a swift recovery of those hurt, invoking blessings from Baba Kedar.
