Urine an anti-septic, as effective as Dettol, says Lalu Yadav

Patna, Feb 1: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has termed urine as best medicine which is as effective as Dettol.

He said this while speaking at a two-day session on "Diverse disease and simplicity of homoeopathy" event organised by the Homoeopathy Science Congress in Patna.

"As a child whenever I use to get injured, urine was the best medicine. It worked as an anti-septic. Now people use Dettol. Some also use to wash hands. This is the only progress we have made in all these years," said Lalu while speaking at an event in Patna, reported the Deccan Herald.

He was criticised by opposition for his rising influence in health department. His son Tej Pratap Yadav is the health minister in Bihar cabinet.
