UP: Muslim man brutally thrashed in Kanpur over 'relationship' with Hindu woman

In yet another shocking incident, a Muslim man who hails from Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur district was thrashed by a group of men at a railway station platform after he admitted that he was in a 'relationship' with a Hindu girl.

The incident came to light after the video was doing rounds on various social media on Friday.

The two-minute video shows, the man identified as Rizwan sitting on a bench at Kanpur district's Barrajpur railway platform and being asked to narrate details of his relationship with a Hindu woman. The youth had gone to drop the woman at the railway station.

The video also showed men hurling abuses at him and asking for woman's identity. The attackers also ask Rizwan about the nature of their relationship. The man is heard making pleas to leave him alone.

According to the report, UP government confirmed that a case has been registered by government railway police (GRP) against four assailants, of which two have been identified as Mohan and Bhole Dubey.
