UP government announces Rs 30 lakh ex gratia for Kupwara martyr's kin

His father Arun Kant Yadav is an inspector with the UP police while his grandfather was in the air force.

The Yogi Adityanath government on Friday announced Rs 30 lakh in exgratia to the family of Captain Ayush Yadav. The young soldier was martyred in Kupwara on Thursday as Pakistani terrorists attacked an army camp. Captain Yadav, a 25-year-old, made the supreme sacrifice leaving behind his parents and sister.

Even as the brave officer's family demanded that the government frame a stronger policy in Kashmir, the Uttar Pradesh government announced Rs 30 lakh as compensation to Captain Yadav's kin. Captain Yadav comes from a family of men in uniform. His father Arun Kant Yadav is an inspector with the UP police while his grandfather was in the air force.

The mortal remains of Captain Ayush Yadav are scheduled to depart from Srinagar at 1.30 pm on Friday and will reach Jaipur. It is expected to reach Kanpur by 5.30 pm.
