UP: FIR lodged against BJP leader for beating up 2, pouring petrol on private parts

Balrampur (UP), Apr 2: Two persons were beaten up and doused in petrol allegedly by a local BJP leader and his accomplices on suspicion of theft, police said here today.

Shahid (28) and Dayaram (25) were forcibly taken to a saw mill by BJP leader K D Shukla and his two accomplices, where the duo was beaten up and petrol was poured on their private parts last night, Station House Officer Raj Kumar Yadav said.

He said that the accused even tried to electrocute the two but they were rescued by the police.

The SHO said that a belt and a bottle have been recovered from the spot.

A case has been lodged against the leader and two others identified as Shukla and Sonu Pandit in this connection and further action is being taken, he said.
