The UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is a significant examination conducted by the NTA to determine the eligibility of candidates for the role of Assistant Professor and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges.

The June 2024 session of the UGC NET examination will be held in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, spanning across multiple cities in India. A total of 83 subjects will be covered in this session, making it one of the most comprehensive exams of its kind.

Candidates who have successfully registered for the exam can now follow a few simple steps to download their admit card. The process is straightforward:

1. Visit the official website: Go to ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
2. Locate the latest news section: On the homepage, find the 'Latest News' section where updates and important notifications are posted.
3. Access the admit card link: Click on the link that reads 'Admit Card for exam dated 21st, 22nd & 23rd August 2024 is Live.'
4. Enter required details: You will be redirected to a new page where you will need to enter your application number and date of birth.
5. Download the admit card: Once the details are correctly entered, your admit card will appear on the screen. Review all the information carefully to ensure there are no errors.
6. Print the admit card: After verifying the details, download and print the admit card for future reference.

The admit card is a critical document that candidates must carry to the examination centre. It contains essential information, including the exam date, time, and venue, as well as personal details such as the candidate's name, photograph, and signature. Without the admit card, candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall.

In its official notification, the NTA has advised all candidates to thoroughly read the instructions mentioned on the admit card. The notification on the website states, "Candidates are advised to download their Admit Card of UGC - NET June 2024 Examination (using Application No. and Date of Birth) along with the undertaking from the website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in w.e.f. 17 August 2024 and go through the instructions contained therein."

In the event of any difficulties during the download process or discrepancies in the details provided on the admit card, candidates are encouraged to contact the NTA's helpline immediately. The helpline can be reached at 011-40759000, and queries can also be sent via email to [email protected]. This ensures that any issues can be resolved promptly, allowing candidates to focus on their preparation without unnecessary stress.

Candidates are reminded to keep a printed copy of the admit card safe, as it will be required on the day of the exam. It is also advisable to check the official website regularly for any further updates or instructions related to the UGC NET June 2024 examination.
