TTD Begins Online Bookings For Vaikunta Dwara Darshan From 23rd December

The Tirupati Thimmappa temple, a revered site visited by countless devotees from across India and the world, is preparing for its annual Vaikunta Ekadashi celebrations. This event, known for drawing a large number of visitors, will be marked with increased grandeur from January 10 to 19, 2025. The highlight of this period is the opening of the Vaikunta Dwara, the inner pathway around the temple's sanctum sanctorum, which is considered highly auspicious for darshan, or viewing.

To facilitate the anticipated influx of pilgrims, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams ( TTD) will commence online booking for Vaikunta Dwara Darshan tickets on December 23. This system aims to streamline access to the temple during its busiest time, offering devotees a chance to witness the solemn beauty of Vaikunta Ekadashi with ease and devotion. The spiritual significance of Vaikunta Ekadashi is palpable, as it is celebrated with elaborate rituals and processions that underscore the festival's importance.

Vaikunta Ekadashi Darshan

The fervor of Vaikunta Ekadashi includes several key events. At the dawn of the festival, VVIPs will be given access to darshan at 4.45 am on January 10. Following this early morning observance, a splendid procession featuring Thimmappa in a golden chariot will take place between 9 and 11 am. Adding to the spiritual activities, a Chakrasna ritual is scheduled in the temple pond from 5.30 to 6.30 am on Dwadashi day, January 11, further enriching the festival's religious tapestry.

For those planning to visit, a special entry ticket priced at Rs 300 will be available for Vaikunta Dwara darshan. Additionally, Slotted Sarva Darshan tokens for the general public can be obtained at the Kaustubham Guest House in Tirumala and at eight counters in Tirupati. To accommodate the needs of the pilgrims, Annadanam, or the distribution of free meals, will be provided daily from 6 am to 12 noon during the Vaikunta Darshan days. Furthermore, in anticipation of the high demand, an extra 3.5 lakh laddus are being prepared for those purchasing prasad, ensuring that the spiritual and communal spirit of the festival is felt by all.
