To oust Mayawati, National Bahujan Alliance with 16 Dalit, Muslim, OBC outfits formed
Mayawati had resigned from the Rajya Sabha last month. She said that she was quitting since she was not allowed to speak on the issue of Dalits.
A daylong meeting at New Delhi to plot the ouster of BSP supremo Mayawati was held on Sunday. 16 outfits of Muslims, Dalits and OBCs, led by former leaders of the BSP met at the national capital and chalked out an agenda to oust Mayawati.

The meeting is significant as it was also aimed at denting Mayawati's core vote base.
The 16 outfits also formed the National Bahujan Alliance. Its coordination committee under the leadership of former BSP MP, Pramod Kureel was also formed. These outfits were brought together by Naseemuddin Siddiqui who was once a close aide of Mayawati.
Mayawati had resigned from the Rajya Sabha last month. She said that she was quitting since she was not allowed to speak on the issue of Dalits. Party sources had said that the decision to quit was a calculated one as she wanted to return to Uttar Pradesh and begin work ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
There was heavy speculation about Siddiqui's next move after he had been shunted out of the party following the BSP's crushing defeat in the recently held UP assembly elections.
Siddiqui has been in touch with several persons since then and sources indicated that he had met with some BJP leaders too. Although the National Bahujan Alliance is not ready to align with the BJP in principle, sources indicate that talks are not over as yet.
Following the meeting that was held at the Delhi's Constitution Club, Siddiqui said that the Committee will soon hold another meeting and we will form a joint front of Sarv Samaj and contest elections.
